First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tested a new cognitive training program called N-ACT in 50 adults who struggle with emotional impulsivity (acting without thinking when upset) and rumination (getting stuck in negative thoughts). Participants completed eight weekly sessions with a coach, doing computer exercises designed to improve emotion regulation. The goal was to see if the program reduces these symptoms and is acceptable to users, compared to a waitlist group.
