Smart patch tracks breathing trouble before doctors can see it

NCT ID NCT05661019

Summary

This study tested whether a new device called Myotrace could help monitor patients with breathing problems in the hospital. The device measures nerve signals to breathing muscles to create an index of respiratory effort. Researchers compared this index to doctors' assessments to see if the device could reliably track whether patients were improving or getting worse.
