What this could lead to
If successful, this could point toward a simple, noninvasive physical therapy approach to ease low back pain and improve daily function without drugs or surgery.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 105 participants, and results may not apply to everyone. The treatments are noninvasive but may not work for all types of back pain.
