First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at whether playing calming music to children aged 10 to 16 before orthopedic surgery can lower their stress levels. Researchers measure changes in heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing during anesthesia induction. Participants wear noise-cancelling headphones playing pre-selected music. The goal is to find a simple, non-drug way to ease pre-surgery anxiety.
