NCT ID NCT07536828
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested whether letting children choose their own music during a dental procedure reduces their anxiety, heart rate, and pain. 90 kids aged 6-9 had sealant applied to their teeth under three conditions: silence, classical music chosen by the dentist, or their own favorite songs. Results showed that patient-chosen music helped children feel more relaxed and less pain compared to silence or classical music.
