NCT ID NCT05143983

First seen Jun 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at whether listening to upbeat music can change how people with depression perceive emotions in faces and voices. 39 adults (18-60 years old) with and without depression listened to positive or neutral music and then rated facial expressions. The goal was to see if positive music could reduce the negativity bias common in depression. The study is complete and aims to better understand how music might influence emotional processing.
