First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looked at whether listening to music during sedation with propofol changes how often people dream and how pleasant those dreams are. 300 adults having surgery under sedation were randomly assigned to hear their favorite music, music they didn't like, or silence through headphones. Researchers then asked about dreams and rated their pleasantness.
