Simple stretches may help breast cancer survivors move better

NCT ID NCT07266623

First seen Dec 15, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether gentle muscle stretches, with or without a pulling motion on the arm, can reduce pain and improve shoulder movement in women who developed a cord-like tightness (axillary web syndrome) after mastectomy. About 58 women, aged 30 to 60 and within 2 years of surgery, will receive one of two treatments for six weeks. The goal is to find a better way to help them regain arm function without medication.
