NCT ID NCT03648359
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special MRI scan (multiparametric MRI) can better identify which men with low-risk prostate cancer can safely avoid immediate treatment and just be monitored (active surveillance). About 200 men already on active surveillance will get the MRI. If the scan finds suspicious areas, doctors will check them with a biopsy to see if treatment is needed. The goal is to improve monitoring and reduce unnecessary procedures.
