New combo therapy aims to thaw frozen shoulders faster

NCT ID NCT07356947

First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding two hands-on therapy techniques—Mulligan and scapular mobilization—to standard physical therapy can better improve shoulder movement, reduce pain, and ease disability in people with frozen shoulder. Thirty-eight adults aged 30 to 60 with one-sided frozen shoulder will be randomly assigned to either the combo therapy or standard care (heat, ultrasound, stretching) for four weeks. The goal is to see if the combo approach leads to faster and better recovery.
