New vaccine aims to train immune system against lung cancer

Summary
This study tests a vaccine designed to help the immune system recognize and attack non-small cell lung cancer. About 30 adults with early or locally advanced lung cancer will receive the vaccine every 3 weeks for 3 doses, with optional yearly boosters for up to 5 years. The goal is to see if the vaccine triggers a strong immune response against MUC1, a protein found on cancer cells.
