Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called MT-8554 to see if it can safely reduce pain in people with nerve damage from diabetes. 156 adults with pain lasting at least 3 months received either the drug or a placebo. The main goal was to measure changes in average daily pain over 12 weeks using a 0-10 scale.
