New MRI study aims to uncover hidden clues about scoliosis in kids
NCT ID NCT07331298
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study will use MRI scans to measure water movement in the spinal discs of 60 children aged 8 to 16, both with and without scoliosis. The goal is to learn more about how the discs work in growing spines, which could help explain why scoliosis develops. No treatment is given—this is a purely observational study.
