First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study will test whether combining standard MRI with two advanced imaging techniques—volumetry and diffusion tensor imaging—can more accurately locate the seizure focus in people with temporal lobe epilepsy. Researchers will compare these MRI results with clinical outcomes to see if the new method improves diagnosis. About 78 participants with epilepsy and no other brain lesions will be enrolled.
