Do radiotherapy masks mess up MRI scans? tiny study takes a look
NCT ID NCT06994702
Summary
This small study checked if the special plastic masks used to hold a patient's head still during brain radiotherapy affect the quality of MRI scans. Researchers scanned 3 healthy volunteers with and without these masks to see if image quality changed. The goal was to understand if using these masks during MRI scans could impact the accuracy of radiation treatment planning for brain tumors.
