First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested a new MRI-based method to measure how well a transplanted kidney is working, comparing it to the standard radioactive tracer test. 71 adult kidney transplant patients with suspected kidney problems took part. The goal was to see if the MRI method is accurate and reliable enough to replace the current test, which involves injecting a radioactive substance.
