New MRI scan could predict painful jaw damage after cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT06586892

Summary

This study aims to test whether a special type of MRI scan can predict which head and neck cancer patients will develop serious jaw and dental problems after radiation therapy. Researchers will follow 300 patients at high risk for this complication, taking serial MRI scans over time. The goal is to create a better tool for early detection, not to provide a new treatment.
