Can scans replace biopsies for lumps? new study aims to find out
NCT ID NCT07294248
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study will check how accurate MRI and ultrasound are at identifying superficial soft tissue masses (lumps under the skin). About 50 people with these lumps will be scanned, and the results will be compared to the final diagnosis. The goal is to see if these imaging tests can reliably tell what the lump is without needing a biopsy.
