New scan could reveal hidden cancer danger before surgery
NCT ID NCT07269912
Summary
This study is testing a new way to analyze MRI scans to see if it can better predict whether rectal cancer has started to invade nearby blood or lymph vessels before surgery. Researchers will enroll 400 patients to see if this advanced imaging analysis can more accurately identify this high-risk feature, which is linked to a higher chance of the cancer returning. The goal is to help doctors make more informed decisions about how aggressively to treat each patient's cancer.
