AI reads MRI scans to predict brain tumor type before surgery

NCT ID NCT07608003

First seen Jun 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study is testing whether an artificial intelligence (AI) model can accurately predict the molecular subtype of midline gliomas (a type of brain tumor) using MRI scans taken before surgery. Researchers will compare the AI's predictions with standard lab tests after surgery to see how well it works. The goal is to help doctors choose the best treatment plan without needing a biopsy first. The study will involve 500 patients across multiple hospitals.
