Summary
This study tested a drug called MR13A9 in 178 adults on hemodialysis who had severe itching not caused by other conditions. Participants rated their worst itch daily on a 0-10 scale. The study compared MR13A9 to a placebo to see if it better reduced itching over 4 weeks, then continued to check long-term safety. The goal was to ease this common and distressing symptom.
