Guinea launches major study to track mpox spread and vaccine protection

Summary
This study in Guinea aims to understand how long the mpox virus stays in the body, how it spreads between people, and how well the MVA-BN vaccine works. About 992 participants, including confirmed mpox patients and their close contacts, will be followed for up to two months. The results will help guide public health efforts to control mpox outbreaks in West Africa.
