First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tested a new drug, MP-513 (Teneligliptin), added to standard sulfonylurea treatment in 194 Japanese adults with type 2 diabetes. The goal was to see if the combination improved blood sugar levels more than sulfonylurea alone over 12 weeks, with a follow-up up to 52 weeks. Participants had moderate diabetes and were already on sulfonylurea. The study is complete, and results focus on changes in HbA1c and fasting glucose.
