First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tested an experimental drug called MP-435 combined with the standard medication methotrexate in 112 people with rheumatoid arthritis. The goal was to see if the combination could better control joint pain and swelling over 12 weeks. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either MP-435 or a placebo, and neither they nor their doctors knew which they received. The study is complete, and results focus on how many people achieved at least a 20% improvement in arthritis symptoms.
