Summary

This early-phase study tested MP-424 (telaprevir) in 10 patients with chronic hepatitis C genotype 1b. Participants took three 250 mg tablets every 8 hours for 12 weeks. The main goals were to check safety, how the drug moves through the body, and how it affects hepatitis C virus levels. This is a first step to see if the drug might help control the infection.
