Summary
This early-phase study tested an experimental drug called MP-424 in 15 people with chronic hepatitis C (genotype 1b) who had not taken interferon before. The main goal was to see if the drug could make the virus undetectable 24 weeks after treatment ended, and to check for side effects. The results help guide future research, but the drug is not yet proven as a cure.
