Less liquid, same clean: new bowel prep may be easier on hospital patients
NCT ID NCT05054036
First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested whether a lower-volume bowel prep (MoviPrep) works as well as a standard high-volume prep (GoLYTELY) in hospitalized patients needing a colonoscopy. 520 adults took part. The goal was to see if the lower volume is better tolerated while still cleaning the colon adequately. Results could make the prep process easier for patients and reduce hospital stays.
