First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested whether a mouthwash containing cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) could improve gum health and reduce plaque when used alongside regular brushing. 136 adults with mild to moderate gingivitis used either the CPC mouthwash or brushed alone for 12 weeks. The main goal was to see if the mouthwash reduced the number of bleeding spots on the gums.
