Mouthwash may speed gum healing after dental work

NCT ID NCT07385586

First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tested whether a special mouthwash helps gums heal better and reduces pain after dental procedures like tooth extractions or implants. One hundred healthy adults used either the mouthwash or a placebo for 15 days. Dentists checked healing and pain levels weekly. The goal was to see if the mouthwash improves recovery compared to no active treatment.
