Summary
This study tested a counseling method called motivational interviewing, based on Watson's human care theory, to help people with diabetic foot ulcers. 73 adults with a mild foot ulcer received either standard education or this extra counseling. The goal was to see if it improved how well they followed treatment, felt confident in their foot care, and were satisfied with their care.
