Eye tests may reveal best seasickness pills for sailors

NCT ID NCT03270839

Summary

This study aimed to find a better way to match sailors with the right motion sickness medication. Researchers tested if simple eye movement tests could predict how well drugs like scopolamine and meclizine would work for each person. They studied 54 sailors who get seasick, giving them different drugs or a placebo and measuring their eye responses before and after.
