Mentor moms step in to help break cycle of abuse and depression
NCT ID NCT05968534
Summary
This small, early-stage study tested a 6-month support program called MOSAIC Plus. It paired pregnant women and mothers of young children who have recently experienced intimate partner violence (IPV) with trained mentor mothers from the community. The goal was to see if this mentorship could help reduce symptoms of depression and PTSD, and prevent further violence, by building social support and practical skills.
