First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at 47 female football players to see if those with a Morton toe (where the second toe is longer than the big toe) have different muscle and jumping abilities. Researchers measured muscle contraction speed and reactive strength during jumps. The goal was to understand if this common foot shape is linked to athletic performance.
