New monitor aims to keep seniors safer during colonoscopy
NCT ID NCT06987630
Summary
This study tested whether using a special monitor that tracks multiple breathing signals could help prevent low oxygen levels in patients aged 65 and older during painless colonoscopy. Researchers compared patients using this new monitor to patients using a standard oxygen monitor to see which group had fewer breathing problems. The goal was to improve safety by catching potential breathing issues earlier during the procedure.
