This study tested a computer-assisted method called Model-Informed Precision Dosing (MIPD) to give the right amount of two strong antibiotics (vancomycin and amikacin) to 41 critically ill children. Standard weight-based dosing often misses the target in these kids because their bodies change quickly. The approach aimed to see if using a computer model could predict drug levels more accurately than usual care, potentially improving treatment and reducing side effects.
