Phone coaching and home monitoring aim to tame high blood pressure in women after preeclampsia

NCT ID NCT07599579

First seen May 31, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether a mobile health program—combining home blood pressure monitoring with virtual coaching—can help midlife women control high blood pressure after having had a hypertensive disorder of pregnancy (like preeclampsia). About 50 women who had such a pregnancy 10 to 20 years ago and now have stage 2 hypertension will be assigned to either the program or usual care. The main goal is to see if the program lowers systolic blood pressure more than standard care over three months.
