First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested whether a mobile-based education program could help people with an intestinal stoma (colostomy or ileostomy) improve their self-care skills, quality of life, and reduce complications like skin problems or leakage. 62 patients who had a new stoma and could use a smartphone participated. The results suggest that mobile training can empower patients to manage their stoma independently and feel better day-to-day.
