First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested whether a mobile app or the tell-show-do technique works better to reduce dental anxiety in 114 children aged 7-11 years having their first dental visit. Kids were randomly assigned to use an app or hear a step-by-step explanation before a checkup. Researchers measured changes in pulse rate and anxiety scores to see which approach was more calming.
