First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested whether a mobile-based education program helps people with an intestinal stoma (colostomy or ileostomy) improve their self-care skills, quality of life, and reduce complications. Sixty-two participants who were new to having a stoma used the app. The goal was to see if the app could help them manage their stoma independently and avoid common problems like skin irritation or leakage.
