New autism medication trial aims to ease social challenges

Summary

This study is testing whether an investigational medication called ML-004 can help improve social communication difficulties in adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Approximately 150 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either ML-004 or a placebo (inactive pill) for comparison. The main goal is to see if the medication reduces core autism symptoms related to social interaction and communication.
