New diabetes drug candidate enters early human testing

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new medicine called MK-1403 in 52 adults with type 2 diabetes. The main goals are to check if it is safe and well-tolerated, and to measure how the body processes it. Researchers will also look at its effect on a blood marker of inflammation (hsCRP). Participants must have type 2 diabetes and a BMI between 18 and 40.
