New drug targets Hard-to-Treat cancers with KRAS mutation
NCT ID NCT05067283
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Sep 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new drug called calderasib (MK-1084) in people with advanced solid tumors that have a specific KRAS G12C mutation. The drug is given alone or combined with other cancer treatments. The main goals are to check safety and find the right dose. About 830 participants will take part.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- calderasib (MK-1084) and pembrolizumab, carboplatin, pemetrexed, cetuximab, oxaliplatin, leucovorin, 5-fluorouracil
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could lead to a new treatment option for people with advanced solid tumors that have a specific KRAS G12C mutation.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early phase 1 trial, so safety and effectiveness are not yet proven. The drug may cause side effects or not shrink tumors.
