Virtual reality could replace traditional walk tests for remote health monitoring

NCT ID NCT07601009

First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026

Summary

This study aims to see if a mixed reality (MR) version of the 6-minute walk test is as accurate and reliable as the traditional test. Researchers will enroll 200 healthy adults aged 18-65. Participants will complete both the standard walk test and an MR version using a Meta Quest 3 headset. The goal is to develop a more objective, standardized way to measure walking ability that could be used for remote health monitoring.
