Summary
This study follows 2000 adults with at least moderate mitral regurgitation (a leaky heart valve) to identify factors that raise the risk of death or heart failure hospitalization. Researchers will use echocardiograms and other data to build a model that helps doctors decide on the best treatment. The study does not test a new drug or device, but aims to improve risk prediction and clinical decision-making.
