NCT ID NCT07199699
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tests a new, less invasive surgery for large chest tumors (teratomas) that are usually removed through a large chest opening. The new method lifts the breastbone with two retractors to create space, allowing doctors to remove the tumor through a small cut below the chest. The goal is to reduce pain, shorten hospital stays, and improve scarring. About 40 people aged 10 to 70 with tumors at least 7 cm wide will take part.
