First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested whether a mineral-enriched powder mixed with water can raise iron levels in women aged 18–35 with low iron. 150 women took the powder or a placebo daily for six months, giving blood samples and completing diaries. The goal was to see if the powder improves iron stores and reduces the number of women still deficient after treatment.
