Summary

This study tests an 8-week group program that combines mindfulness, gentle movement, breathing exercises, healthy eating tips, and art activities for adults aged 55 and older with mild-to-moderate depression or loneliness. The goal is to see if the program improves mood, reduces loneliness, and boosts quality of life. Researchers will compare participants' scores before and after the program.

Active substance
Mindfulness Lifestyle Social Prescribing Program (behavioral intervention)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a low-cost, group-based program to reduce depression and loneliness in older adults.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 50 participants and no control group, so results may not be generalizable. Benefits may be modest.
