Mindfulness under the microscope: new study probes risks and realities for Psychosis-Prone youth

NCT ID NCT07499934

First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study interviews 20 people aged 15–30 who are at ultra-high risk for psychosis or have had a first episode. They all took part in a group mindfulness program. Researchers want to understand what the experience was like for them and whether any negative effects occurred. The goal is not to test if mindfulness works, but to learn from participants' own stories.
