Mindfulness classes aim to ease anxiety for teens with autism and their families
NCT ID NCT06577623
Summary
This study tested whether an 8-week mindfulness program could help reduce anxiety, depression, and stress in teenagers with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Twenty-eight teens and their parents or caregivers attended weekly group sessions to learn mindfulness techniques and used a meditation app for daily practice. Researchers measured changes in mood, anxiety, and quality of life for both teens and parents before, after, and two months following the program.
