Mindfulness may keep First-Gen students in college

Summary
This study looks at whether mindfulness-based treatments can help first-generation college students in rural areas feel less anxious or depressed and stay in school. About 53 students will be randomly assigned to either mindfulness meditation or psychoeducation. Researchers will compare the groups to see which approach works better for mental health and college retention.
